Since then, Meiji Shrine has been used to pray for the prosperity of the imperial family, the prosperity of our country, and world peace.
A visit to the temple on New Year's Eve usually attracts the most worshipers in Japan, but in normal times the lush, vast forest and majestic aura quietly envelop people's prayers. Festivals and events are held throughout the year, and various blessing and dedication ceremonies are held in the region during spring and autumn festivals.
We also perform prayers for weddings, first visits to the temple, Shichi-Go-San, and other life rituals, as well as prayers for the safety of one's family and the expulsion of evil spirits.
